Hey, there! How is your summer class going? (Or, how did it go, if it's already over?)
My summer took a turn a couple of weeks ago. I went from doing absolutely nothing to rebuilding a college radio station in the course of 3 days. That's been a learning experience so far! It's been a lot of work, but I'm having a great time.
No luck on the job front so far. I'm in the process of applying for a position through the City of San Jose as Councilmember Dave Cortese's assistant, and luckily I have a few contacts w/i the City of San Jose who have been trying to prep me for the interview process. Until then, I'm continuing to search for other job opportunities, as well as working on the radio station project. An old instructor of mine called to hand me that project, we met once to talk about the steps that needed to be taken to get this off the ground, and then he disappeared. *smirks*
Oh, well. Although it's frustrating to lack his help, it also gives me a fair level of freedom, in terms of how I do things. If he ever confronts me with "Why'd you do this??" I can say, "I called six or seven times, and emailed you four times. You said you wanted this up by the Fall semester's start, and were unavailable. In order to meet your deadline, I had to take initiative." Mwahaha...
